Position Description: One-year Assistant Professor position to teach web design/graphic design. MFA with teaching experience preferred. Applicant must possess knowledge and the ability to teach conceptual, technical, and historical aspects of web design/graphic design and have an interest and ability to communicate within one's specific discipline area. A commitment to professional activity through a substantial professional record is preferred. (Evidence of scholarly activity will also be considered). We seek diverse applicants whose intellectual and creative activities are bridge-building within the context of a research institution. Must demonstrate ability to be a team player and work cooperatively on departmental responsibilities and possess good documentation and writing skills. Teach two or three classes per semester (five per academic year) in web design/graphic design, foundations, and/or related areas of expertise at all levels including graduate students.
