Jobing Description

This position reports directly to the Asset Manager, The Construction Manager provides direct supervision to company personnel and all contractor personnel working in the Williston Basin area on construction related activities. The work is diverse and includes in addition to construction activities some maintenance activities. This manager will be supporting the ND Bakken Shale Asset Team in the supervision of the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the wellsite production facilities, pipelines, SCADA, and infrastructure support facilities. To date over 250 wells have been drilled in the Bakken shale and an active 8 rig drilling program is scheduled over the next 8 years and the well count is expected to exceed 800.

Responsibilities:

1.

Supervises and directs all contractors and company personnel on construction activities supporting the drilling, completion, and production phases of oil development.

2.

Assists in planning, material procurement, contractor sourcing and scheduling of assigned construction activities.

3.

Keep engineering personnel and management informed of project progress via progress reports and data entry into WellView system as required

4.

Responsible for tracking and managing project cost, including approved scope changes

5.

Enforces all MOC safety and administrative policies, procedures, and contract agreements. This includes verifying contractor compliance with DISA and safety training requirements

6.

Responsible for project material inspection and control, ensures Company materials and equipment are transported, stored, secured, and installed in accordance with vendor and contract requirements

7.

Ensures all jobs are performed in accordance with MOC engineering specifications including use of P&IDs, assistance in preparation of as-built diagrams following project completion, etc.

8.

Works with facilities engineering department to verify understanding of project design and goals.

9.

Actively participates in Leadership Team meetings

10.

Participation in project hazard analysis on assigned construction projects and ensure daily compliance with safety rules and policies/procedures.

Degree:

Bachelors required

Major:

Engineering discipline required

Computer Proficiencies:

Experience with Microsoft Office package, Microsoft Project and knowledge of KMS.

Work Experience:

Minimum of ten (10) years experience in oil field related Construction and/or Maintenance supervisory positions required. Ability to work in a multi-discipline project team with project management experience.
