Position Summary Information

Position Description:

The Department of History, Philosophy and Religious Studies at North Dakota State University invites applications for a one-year nonrenewable position as lecturer in history starting on August 16, 2011. The lecturer s duties will consist of a three-course teaching load each semester, including the U.S. survey and a special topics course on women s history. The other classes will be assigned by the Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for the position, a candidate must have the following: a Ph.D. in history; experience in teaching U.S. women s history, U.S. surveys, and undergraduate writing or methods courses; and a scholarly profile anchored in relevant publications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching African-American history.
