Position Title: Project Manager Department:

Position reports to: Operations Manager
Positions Supervised: Superintendents, Foremen and Schedulers
Position Purpose
Project Managers are responsible to know the need of the customer as well as the needs of the supervision that this position is responsible for.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
1. Interfaces with the customer to ensure expectations are met, primary customer contact.
a. Attends customer meetings assisting with estimating, cost control, resources loading, project performance and improvement.
b. Makes critical decisions, technical analysis and is key customers interface.
c. Documents and shares project learning s with the customer, management and field supervision.
d. Utilizes the KPI Project Management Process.
e. Must be able to communicate OE Goals effectively.
f. Effectively communicates with customers and employees.
g. Completes all associated paper work in a timely manner.
2. Accountable at a senior level, for all the results of all crews at construction or maintenance sites.
a. The number of individuals supervised may range from three to five (direct) and fifty to one hundred ( indirectly).
b. Utilizes CPI tools to reduce job costs and KS Industries cost of doing business.
c. Eliminates Barriers affecting the internal customer s performance.
d. Approves employee development plans.
e. Effectively resolves conflict and takes appropriate personnel actions.
f. Coordinates all internal policies and procedures for internal customers.
g. May assist crews as necessary, in order to perform a job efficiently and safely, utilize scope and risk management tools.
h. Acts as the project coach and leader.
3. Provides a safe work environment.
a. Makes occasional job site inspections.
b. Conducts safe work and performs behavioral based safety audits, understands and follows work schedules, understands mechanical drawings and constructability analysis to ensure quality, productivity and safety.
c. On call twenty four hours a day and must respond in emergency situations.

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: Employee must be knowledgeable with the various hand tools that are used in the oil and gas energy sector including, buffers, grinders, pipe and hand wrenches, hammers, gas monitors. Employee may be assigned a company vehicle for commuting to and from work and from work location to location. This vehicle will be used for business purposes only and not for personal use.
Working Conditions: The conditions vary from site to site however, the majority of the work is construction based working in the fields. The walking surfaces vary depending on the terrain from flat to extreme slopes, to hillsides and mountainsides. Walking on various terrains and in various soil conditions from hard dirt or rocky surfaces to frozen, snowy, wet and slippery conditions. Most of the work will be subjected to the ambient weather and outdoor conditions.
Work Hours: Normally, an employee will work 40+ hours per week depending on the factors such as weather and schedules: Work schedules and hours may vary somewhat depending on specific client locations and projects. In general, applicable work schedules include 5 8 s, 9/80 and 4-10 s. Work hours include beginning at approximately 6:30 a.m. and finishing around 4:00 p.m. One half hour lunch and two, 10-minute breaks (morning and afternoon). Overtime as job dictates.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Depending on the phase of the job, all personnel are required to work in conditions where physical demands can consist of placing one s body in various positions to inspect and to accomplish certain tasks such as, bending at the waist, stooping, working in a supine position, twisting. Some of these physical requirements will range from seldom, frequent to constant depending on the task at hand.

Pre-Employment Requirements: All candidates must pass a pre employment physical examination , drug / alcohol screen, and background check as a condition of successful consideration for employment. Failure to do so will result in the candidate being disqualified from further consideration.
The candidate must also possess a current and valid driver s license as required for the position, i.e., DOT-Class A, B or a non DOT class C depending on the position applying for. Candidate must alsobe insurable through KSI s insurance carrier.
